Science on Tap Event Focusing on The Science of Consequences on March 3
(Feb. 20, 2015) — Armstrong State University will host the second monthly Science on Tap event featuring Dr. Susan Schneider, adjunct professor and visiting scholar of psychology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. on Tuesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at Coastal Empire Trading Co., 215 W. Liberty St. Schneider will present from her recent book, The Science of Consequences: How They Affect Genes, Change our Brain, and Impact our World, which focuses on the principles and applications of behavior analysis. The book will be for sale at the event. The author will be available to sign copies of the book prior and after the event. This event is free and open to the public.
Ten years in the making, The Science of Consequences: How they Affect Genes, Change our Brain, and Impact our World tells a tale ranging from genetics to neurotransmitters, from emotion to language, from parenting to politics — taking an inclusive interdisciplinary approach to show how something so deceptively simple can help make sense of so much.
Science on Tap is a free monthly event, organized by Armstrong State University, which gives members of the community an opportunity to hear and share scientific knowledge in an entertaining, laid-back format.
