The Armstrong Atlantic Will Sail Again This St. Patrick's Day

“The Armstrong Atlantic,” a student-designed and built pirate ship float, will sail again during Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade in March for the third consecutive year. The Student Government Association and Campus Union Board supported Armstrong's entry into the parade and extended invitation to students to participate. We will be honoring over 70 countries around the world that have representatives here at Armstrong.

Armstrong will join hundreds of other organization and groups in the region for the event during a week when Savannah's fountains are dyed green, the city shifts into an extended celebration St. Patrick's Day and revelers fill more than 40 city blocks in a jam-packed outdoor party.

Many of them, including untold numbers of alumni, faculty and staff, cheered and clapped at the sight of the Armstrong float passing by.

The cry of “Go Pirates” is always heard repeatedly along the parade route.
