164th State House District Representative; Owner, Quick Rx Drugs
Ron Stephens grew up in West Chatham County, and graduated from Groves High School. He studied Pre-Pharmacy at Armstrong State and completed Pharmacy School at Mercer University. He owned and operated Loganville Pharmacy for two years before opening Quick Rx Drugs, which now has eight locations.
For eleven years, he has represented the 164th District in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he is the Chairman of the House Economic Development & Tourism Committee. Rep. Stephens is also a member of the Appropriations, Rules, and Ways and Means Committees. Before his state election, he was a City Councilman in Garden City.
Rep. Stephens is passionate about protecting and strengthening Georgia’s tourism business. He has served on the Appropriations Committee for eight years. He also served and was pioneer of the original tourism study committee that led to the formation of the current Economic Development and Tourism Committee, which earned him the Leadership Award for efforts to bring nontraditional tourism industries over to the tourism side.
In 2009, he was named to the Board of Governors for Mercer Medical School.
He and his wife Janice have two daughters, Karen and Ashlin, and two grandchildren, Walker and Ivey. Rep. and Mrs. Stephens are members of the Richmond Hill Baptist Church.
