Linda W. Wright
Linda L. Wright
Class of 1997
Professor of Health Sciences, Armstrong
Linda L. Wright’s undergraduate degree was in psychology, as was her doctorate degree, where she studied maternal behavior and cognitive processing in infants and the elderly. She then did 5 years of postdoctoral research in developmental neurobiology, and learned medical gross anatomy.
Wright’s first faculty position was at Boston University Medical School, in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, where she continued her research in neurobiology while teaching both medical and graduate students. She loved teaching as well as the research.
Wright then came to Armstrong to teach in the Physical Therapy Program. She felt that she needed to learn more about what physical therapists did to teach them well, so she enrolled in the charter class, and completed her master’s degree in physical therapy here at Armstrong. She has continued to teach in the physical therapy program, as well as other courses in the College of Health Professions.
